This woody doll is pretty expensive but its what my twin boys wanted for their birthday. Has held up after being dropped a few times and being played with by two crazy seven year olds. Worth the joy that it gave them.I was very happy when I got this itemI bought it for my grandsons birthday and he got very excited when he saw it.Complaints: the pull string doesn't fully retract, and it's not Tom Hanks' voice (and it doesn't even sound like it).Otherwise a good toy.My granddaughter loved itJust alittle pricey!My daughter absolutely loves this toy. She takes woody everywhere. The only thing I would have to say about it is the price is expensive. This is a good toy though.Just like the one from The movie, Toy Story ‘4’. Sturdy, Quality Material. It came in the box from the Woodys’ Round up Show he discovers in the movie. Also included a small Woody bust poster His hands and boots are hard plastic much different than the sewn cloth that the Woody doll my son had from Toy Story 2 Much better quality than previous models.,, Included a pull string which was only about 3 inches long and the sound was minimal. Almost any background noise and you can’t hear him talk at all. My son still enjoyed this toy, although he didn’t seem to take to it as much as the original Woody, with cloth hands and boots. Also this version has Bonnie written on the bottom of the boot.Unlike the original doll (which unfortunately this one was bought to replace) this toy is lacking in several areas. While I will grant you that it is in fact a decent replica of the original, their are several flaws, some design, some I would assume specific to the product we received. First off, the toy is several inches bigger. Doesn't seem like a big deal unless you are trying to replace a lost older toy....second, unlike the original that was completely sealed, this toy opens at Woody's waistband and the entire voice box can be removed. I assume this is to change batteries, but it could have been executed better. the velcro that holds this seem is poor quality and poorly placed. As a result the doll is perpetually in a "surgical state". Again, the voice box come out but the pull cord is still sticking out of his back, for curious kids this can make an interesting issue. They pull the box out but break the string..... Material quality seems okay but certainly feels a bit cheap compared to the original toy. Now on to our specific issue, his pull string never retracts fully into the voice box. In fact, it barely retracts at all, and it was like this directly out of the box. So far, the voice box seems to still work but I'm sure it is only a matter of time before this gets snagged on something and is ripped completely out. Very disappointed over this issue. All in all, I can tell you the changes were so drastic that my 5 year old had no problem finding the differences. And what used to be his absolute favorite toy prior to it being stolen with my truck now sits in the playroom and receives little if any attention......Sad Really, Woody didn't even get to wait for him to go off to college.......Love this toy.When I bough a Woody doll as a present I expected to get an original Woody doll with all the original catch phrases and not a Woody Doll that is promoting Toy Story 4 (which should never have existed in the first place)This doesn’t say the original catch phrases like 'Reach for the skies', 'You're my favourate' deputy', ‘there’s a snake in my boot’ or ‘someone’s poisoned the waterhole’Instead the catch phrases are all Toy Story 4 specific and not what you want when you buy a Woody doll.DO NOT BUYBought this Toy Story 3Woody doll for my grandson, who loves it. But it arrived faulty, with the string pull hanging too far down its back. It has never fully retracted and frequently fails to retract at all. The material of its waistcoat and shirt is misaligned so gets in the way of the string.The "voice" has now stopped working completely and after reading some of these reviews I looked more carefully at the doll - the trousers are coming away from the top half and are only stuck with Velcro. Be careful not to buy a cheap fake, which I now think I have.Just adding to the one star reviews to say that it arrived today, I took it out the box ready to wrap and I tried to pulley and it doesn’t work. What a pile of rubbish and for £40 as well.Obviously not a genuine one and seems like a top rip off merchant is flogging this one!Very swift delivery. Excellent packing.Very lovely doll , true to life and well made.Only downside is his hat. It is made of hard plastic, as he is too , but his hat does not stay on his head... you have to keep balancing it on. If it were a sturdy cloth/waxy material (like a real cowboy hat made of animal skin?) & had a string to tie around his chin would be fantastic.His pull string for voice looks good ..but on occasion has not sprung back so when you pull it again it doesn't talk..But apart from that he's a hit !My son has been wanting a “fluffy” woody for months now, got him one for his birthday today. On the switch it indicates that it can be switched just to woody, or to where he speaks to other toys located. He only speaks to forky no matter what setting he’s on. I’m gutted as my son has kept repeating “there’s a snake in my boot“, and other original phrases and woody says nothing of the sort.Only option is to return it but he’s been waiting for so long he doesn’t want to send it back
